Inspect extension cords periodically and replace them if damaged. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Your tool must be disconnected when not in use, before servicing, and when changing accessories such as blades, bits and cutters. Get into the habit of checking to see that adjusting keys and wrenches are removed from the tool before turning it on. Do not carry the plugged-in tool with a finger on the variable switch. Make sure the switch is off when plugging it in. When the tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords intended for outdoor use. Do not operate the tool when you are tired. Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to ensure that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Examine the chuck regularly for signs of wear or damage. Always press the hammer drill against the work surface (wall, ceiling, etc. ) before you start it.
