Your reciprocating saw incorporates many features to enable you to get the best results. Safety, performance and reliability have been given top priority in the design of this saw, making it easy to maintain and operate. NB: Please read the user manual thoroughly and ensure that you understand it before using your reciprocating saw. [. . . ] 4 TRIGGER To turn your saw ON, push the lock button and pull the trigger. Release the trigger to turn your saw OFF. 5 VARIABLE SPEED This saw has a variable speed trigger that increases the saw speed as the pressure is increased on the trigger and reduces the saw speed as you reduce the pressure. 6 APPLICATIONS (Only use your saw for the following purposes) · Cutting all types of wood (timber, plywood, wood panels, chipboard and hard woods). When using your reciprocating saw continuously, the batteries in your battery pack will become hot. You should let a hot battery pack cool down for approximately 30 minutes before attempting to recharge. WARNING: Always remove the battery pack from your saw when you are fitting parts, making adjustments, attaching or removing a blade, cleaning or when you are not using your saw. Removing the battery pack will prevent the saw starting accidentally and causing serious personal injury. Press the catch on the end of the battery pack and remove it from your saw. Make sure the battery pack catch engages and the battery pack is firmly attached to the saw before starting to work. CAUTION: When fitting the battery pack to the saw, ensure that the ribs on the saw engage with the grooves on the battery pack and that the catch engages correctly. WARNING: Failure to remove the battery pack from the saw could result in the saw starting accidentally and cause serious personal injury. Remove the 5 mm Allen key supplied with your saw from the Allen key holder. NOTE: The Allen key holder is at the back of the saw handle. Slacken the blade clamp screw enough to allow the saw blade to be inserted between the blade clamp and the blade holder. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the blade clamp screw from the blade clamp when installing or removing the blade. Align the hole in the shank of the blade and blade clamp with the tenon in the saw bar and engage both over the tenon. Remove the Allen key and store it in the Allen key holder. WARNING: Always remove the battery pack from your saw when you are fitting parts, making adjustments, attaching or removing a blade, cleaning or when you are not using your saw. Removing the battery pack will prevent the saw starting accidentally and causing serious personal injury. NOTE: The blade clamp may stick to the blade holder, preventing the blades being fitted or removed. If this happens, loosen the blade clamp screw with the Allen key and tap lightly on the end of the Allen key with a mallet.
