Do NOT expose the television to extreme temperature conditions (below 5°C and above 35°C) or to extreme humidity conditions (less than 10% and more than 75%). Press the s or t button to select the "Channel" and press the + or ­ button. Press the s or t button to select the "Sort" and press the button. Result: + or ­ The "Sort" menu is displayed with the "From" selected. 4 Press the + or ­ button until the channel number that you wish to change is displayed. Result: The selected channel's picture is displayed. 5 6 Press the s or t button to select the "To". Press the + or ­ button until the new number by which you wish to identify the channel is displayed. Result: The selected channel is exchanged with the one previously stored to the chosen number. Example: If you select " P 1" for the "From" and "P 3" for the "To": u Channel 1 becomes channel 3. u Channel 3 becomes channel 1. 7 To. . . Confirm the exchange of channel numbers Press the. . . u s or t button to select the "Store". Result: "OK" is displayed. â You can exchange other channel numbers by selecting "From" and returning to step 4. 8 When you have finished sorting channels, press the TV button or, press the MENU button repeatedly to return to normal viewing 17 KS3a_Eng_Wide. qxd 10/19/2002 1:03 PM Page 18 Changing the Picture Standard You can select the type of picture which best corresponds to your viewing requirements. The following picture effects are available in the order given: u Custom, Standard, Sports, Natural, Mild. 1 2 3 4 Press the MENU button. Result: The "Picture" menu is displayed. Press the + or ­ button to select the "Mode". Press the + or ­ button repeatedly to cycle through the five choices: Custom, Standard, Sport, Natural, Mild. When you are satisfied with the settings, press the TV button or, press the MENU button repeatedly to return to normal viewing. You can use your remote control to select the type of picture which best corresponds to your viewing requirements. To select the required picture effect, simply press the P. STD (Picture standard) button on the remote control. Result: The following picture effects are available in the order given: Custom Ö Standard Ö Sports Ö Natural Ö Mild â You can display the picture menu directly by pressing the "P. Result: The "Picture" menu is displayed. Press the + or ­ button. [. . . ] Switch the television on and if necessary, press the " one or more times until the required input is displayed. " button â Depending on the source selected, the pictures may appear automatically. â To watch television programmes again, press the TV button and select the number of the channel required. 36 KS3a_Eng_Wide. qxd 10/19/2002 1:03 PM Page 37 Automatic Degaussing to Remove Colour Patches ENG A degaussing coil is mounted around the picture tube, so you do not normally need to degauss the television manually. If you move the television to a different position and color patches appear on the screen, you must: u Switch the television off by pressing the " u Unplug the television from the wall socket u Leave the television power-off (stand-by) for about 30 minutes so that the automatic degauss function can be activated, and then press the POWER button on the remote control. " (ON/OFF) button on the front panel * If your television will be left unattended, press the " television off.
