This manual will guide you through using the Digimax 202, including capturing images, downloading images and using the MGI PhotoSuite III SE software. Please read this manual carefully before using your new camera. Instructions Use this camera in the following order Before connecting the camera to a PC, via the USB cable, you will need to set up the camera driver. Install the camera driver that is contained in the Application S/W CD-ROM. (p. 73) Set up the camera driver Take a picture (p. 21) Take a picture Insert the USB cable Insert the supplied USB cable into the PC's USB port and the camera's USB connection terminal. A menu where you can check the ROTATE execution of the rotation of the SET image will appear. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select [ROTATE], and then press the OK EXIT:SHUTTER SET:OK button. The image will continue to rotate 90 degrees. When the image is in the desired orientation, use the UP and DOWN buttons to select [SET], and then press the OK button. The rotated image will be saved with a new file name and the menu screen will disappear. - If you display the rotated image on the LCD monitor, empty spaces may appear to the left and right of the image. - If memory space is insufficient, the [CARD FULL!] message will be displayed and you will not be able to rotate the image. 52 Resize A stored image size can be changed and used as a logo image. The resized image will have a new file name. Press the play mode button and press the menu button. Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the [RESIZE] menu tab. Select a desired sub menu by pressing the UP/ DOWN button and press the OK button. RESIZE 1024X768 640X480 S. IMAGE O O O INFORMATION A large sized image can be resized to a smaller sized image, but not vice versa. You cannot resize a JPEG image, even if the image has a 4:3 frame aspect ratio (1600x1200, 1024x768, or 640x480), unless the image is compressed in JPEG 4:2:2 format. If the memory capacity is insufficient to store the resized image, a [CARD FULL!] message will display on the LCD monitor and the resized image will not be stored. 53 Setup menu In this mode, you can set up basic settings.
