This manual will guide you through using the Digimax 301, including capturing images, downloading images and using the MGI PhotoSuite III SE software. Please read this manual carefully before using your new camera. Instructions Use this camera in the following order Before connecting the camera to a PC, via the USB cable, you will need to set up the camera driver. Install the camera driver that is contained in the Application S/W CD-ROM. (p. 76) Set up the camera driver Take a picture (p. 21) Take a picture Insert the USB cable Insert the supplied USB cable into the PC's USB port and the camera's USB connection terminal. (p. 82) Check the camera's power Check the camera's power If the power is turned off, press the camera button to power it on. (p. 24) Check [Removable Disk] Open Window s EXPLORER and search for [Removable Disk]. (p. 83) If you use a card reader to copy the images on the memory card to your PC, the images could be damaged. [. . . ] Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the desired DPOF submenu, and then press the OK button. A window ONE PIC where you can set the number of prints will open. Once the DPOF setting is finished, the number of prints will be displayed at the left side of the LCD monitor. The number of prints that can be set is between 0 and 30. If you select `0(zero)', you can't print an image. 53 Rotating an image You can rotate the stored images by 90, 180, or 270 degrees. Press the play mode button and press the menu button. Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the [ROTATE] menu tab. Select a desired sub menu by pressing the UP/ DOWN OFF button. ON If [OFF] is selected : Press the OK button to cancel the image rotation. If [ON] is selected : Press the OK button to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise. A menu where you can check the ROTATE execution of the rotation of the SET image will appear. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select [ROTATE], and then press the OK EXIT:SHUTTER SET:OK button. The image will continue to rotate 90 degrees. When the image is in the desired orientation, use the UP and DOWN buttons to select [SET], and then press the OK button. [Rotated 90 degrees] [Rotated 180 degrees] [Rotated 270 degrees] 4. The rotated image will be saved with a new file name and the menu screen will disappear. - If you display the rotated image on the LCD monitor, empty spaces may appear to the left and right of the image. - If memory space is insufficient, the [CARD FULL!] message will be displayed and you will not be able to rotate the image.
