Safety-Locking Your Microwave Oven Your microwave oven is fitted with a special Child Safety programme, GB which enables the oven to be "locked" so that children or anyone unfamiliar with it cannot operate it accidentally. To switch the beeper back on, press the and buttons again at the same time. Result : The following indication is displayed. The oven is locked (no functions can be selected). To unlock the oven, press the and buttons again at the same time. Result : The oven operates with the beeper on again. 13 Cookware Guide GB To cook food in the microwave oven, the microwaves must be able to penetrate the food, without being reflected or absorbed by the dish used. Care must therefore be taken when choosing the cookware. If the cookware is marked microwave-safe, you do not need to worry. The following table lists various types of cookware and indicates whether and how they should be used in a microwave oven.
