(12 BIT, 16 BIT) s 12 BIT: You can record two 12 bit stereo sound tracks. The original stereo sound can be recorded onto the MAIN (SOUND1) track. Additional stereo sound can be dubbed onto the SUB (SOUND2) track. S 16 BIT: You can record one high quality stereo sound using the 16 bit recording mode. Audio dubbing is not possible when using this mode. S The AUDIO MODE switches between 12 BIT - 16 BIT with each press. 1 The DISPLAY function works in both CAMERA and PLAYER modes. 1 You can select the output path for the OSD (On Screen Display). S The DISPLAY mode switches between LCD-LCD/V-OUT with each press. 1 The DATE/TIME function works in both CAMERA and PLAYER modes. 1 The date and time is automatically recorded on a special data area of the tape. 1 You can choose to display - either the date, time or both. S If you exit the sub-menu without pressing ENTER, the DATE/TIME mode is not changed. The DATE/TIME will read "­ ­ ­ " in the following conditions. 1 Demonstration automatically shows you the major functions that are included with your camcorder so that you may use them more easily. 1 The DEMO function is only available in CAMERA mode when you are not recording. The DEMO function only works without a TAPE installed. If you set the DEMO to ON during recording or STBY mode, the demonstration will activate 3 minutes later after ejecting the tape. If you press other keys (ZOOM, FADE, BLC, PHOTO, EASY, CUSTOM) during the DEMO mode, the DEMO stops for a while and resume the demonstration if you do not operate any other functions within 3 minutes. S BLINKING indicates the setting to be changed, The year will be the first to blink. [. . . ] The contrast between the subject and the background is too great for the camcorder to operate normally. Make the background brighter to reduce the contrast or use the BLC function while you are recording. the Viewfinder lens has not been adjusted.
