To operate your machine from a remote phone, you need to enter a five-character: Remote Password. The Remote Password is preset at the factory to `#139#' and you can change the password to any number you want, through the User Options. For more information, see "TAM Options (SF3100T only)" on page 6-11. Accessing the Machine 1 Place a call to your fax machine from a TouchTone phone. ·A pulse line works only if you can manually switch the phone to tone dialling.
