Receiving a fax 2. 23 Printing received confidential document When you receive a confidential document, the fax machine displays `MAIL', total number of mail box which has the confidential document received, and the mail box name in the lower line of the display. Press Menu, then press Mail box on the one-touch keypad. The display prompts that you can choose the three mail box options; 1. CONF. The LCD displays total number of mail box which has the confidential document and mail box name which has the last document. Press or , , to search for the desired mail box. The mail box names will be displayed in order of mail box number each time you press or , , . Press Start/Enter when the desired mail box name is displayed. The LCD briefly displays the selected mail box name and number. ID)ABC BOX: 3 Then, the LCD prompts you to enter a 4-digit password. Enter the 4-digit password for that mail box. If you enter a wrong password, the machine sounds a warning beep and the LCD asks to enter the password again. The documents in memory are erased after they are printed. 2. 24 Receiving a fax Polling What is Polling? Polling means that one fax machine requests another to send a document. This is useful for sending unattended faxes. The person who wants to receive the document calls the machine holding the original and requests that the document be sent. In other words, it "polls" the machine holding the original document. Note: The remote machine must also support polling to use this feature. Being polled by a remote machine (TX poll) 2 You can program your fax machine to send documents when polled by a remote fax machine. It is possible to assign a poll code to prevent unauthorized polling of your fax machine. When you secure your machine using a poll code, only those who know the code can poll your machine. Place the document fac down in the automatic document feeder. If desired, adjust the resolution and contrast. Press Menu, then press Polling on the one-touch keypad.
