Applications The lint shaver is designed for the removal of lint, little balls of fuzz, hair or dust from the surface of textile fabric or furniture upholstery. Safety switch The appliance is equipped with a safety switch. Any attempt to remove the shaving head will cause the appliance to switch off automatically in order to prevent personal injury or damage to the appliance. batteries This appliance requires two batteries of type LR14 / 1. 5 V (size C); the use of alkaline batteries is preferable, as they are longerlasting than the standard carbon-zinc batteries. The batteries are inserted as follows: - Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and take it off. - Insert the batteries according to the schematic diagram inside the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). - Replace the compartment cover and slide it back until it is heard locking into place. When the lint chamber is empty, a significant decrease in operating speed is a clear indication that the batteries are exhausted, and that they should be replaced. The shaving blades inside the shaving head start rotating. When they come into contact with the surface of the area to be treated, a distinct noise can be heard. - Guide the shaving head gently and without exerting any pressure over the fabric to be treated. If the motor seems to lose power, or if it stops working completely, the lint chamber may be over-full. General care and cleaning Before cleaning the appliance, turn the motor off and remove the batteries from the battery compartment. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water. [. . . ] Guarantee This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. To repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.
