ENGLISH Introduction IMPORTANT · For your assistance in reporting the loss or theft of your Projector, please record the Serial Number located on the bottom of the projector and retain this information. · Before recycling the packaging, please ensure that you have checked the contents of the carton thoroughly against the list of "Supplied accessories" on page 10. Model No. : DT-100 Serial No. : There are two important reasons for prompt warranty registration of your new SHARP Projector, using the REGISTRATION CARD packed with the projector. 1. WARRANTY This is to assure that you immediately receive the full benefit of the parts, service and labor warranty applicable to your purchase. 2. CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY ACT To ensure that you will promptly receive any safety notification of inspection, modification, or recall that SHARP may be required to give under the 1972 Consumer Product Safety Act, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE IMPORTANT "LIMITED WARRANTY" CLAUSE. [. . . ] · When you do not want to output the sound from the projector's speaker while the projector is connected to external equipment, set "Speaker" in "PRJ-ADJ" menu to "Off". (See page 45. ) AV MUTE button Volume buttons On-screen Display Displaying the Black Screen and Turning off the Sound Temporarily Press MAV MUTE on the remote control to temporarily display a black screen and turn off the sound. Note · Pressing MAV MUTE again will turn the projected image back on. On-screen Display 32 KEYSTONE button Correcting Trapezoidal Distortion When the image is projected either from the top or from the bottom towards the screen at an angle, the image becomes distorted trapezoidally. The function for correcting trapezoidal distortion is called Keystone Correction. Note · The Keystone Correction can be adjusted up to an angle of approximately ±13 degrees and the screen can also be set up to an angle of approximately ±13 degrees (when the resize mode is set to "STRETCH" (see page 34)). Adjustment buttons (P/R/O/Q) RETURN button 1 Press g KEYSTONE to enter the Keystone Correction mode. · You can also display the on-screen display of the Keystone Correction mode with d KEYSTONE on the projector. Info · While adjusting the image using Keystone Correction, straight lines and the edges of the image may appear jagged. 33 Image Projection (Continued) Resize Mode This function allows you to modify or customize the resize mode to enhance the input image. Depending on the input signal, you can choose "STRETCH", "SIDE BAR" or "CINEMA ZOOM" image. Press HRESIZE. · See page 43 for setting on menu screen. Press NFREEZE again to return to the moving image from the currently connected device. FREEZE button Selecting the Picture Mode You can select the appropriate picture mode to best match the projected image you are watching. Auto Sync (Auto Sync Adjustment) Auto Sync function works when detecting input signal after the projector turns on. Press FAUTO SYNC to manually adjust with Auto Sync function. Note · When the optimum image cannot be achieved with Auto Sync adjustment, use the help menu for manual adjustments.
