You can make the unit not play automatically when you insert a playback-only MiniDisc or an accidental erasure protected MiniDisc. When the unit is used in a place exposed to much vibration, sound skipping can be decreased by cancelling the auto power save function. [. . . ] Unplug the AC adaptor from the wall socket.
