Fax print head
Clean the print head frequently to ensure optimum printing performance.  [. . . ] Avoid touching the print head with hard
objects. 

· The print head may be hot if your fax machine has just received a large
number of documents. If this is the case,  allow the print head to cool prior to cleaning.

Scanning glass and rollers
Clean the scanning glass and rollers frequently to ensure the quality of transmitted images and copies. Open the operation panel (pull the release marked PANEL RELEASE toward you),  and wipe the scanning glass and rollers with a soft cloth.  Make sure that all dirt and stains (such as correcting fluid) are removed,  as dirt and stains will cause vertical lines on transmitted images and copies.  Adhesive cellophane tape is useful for removal of debris from the rollers.
