Perform the steps above to turn off the indicators again. 40 Useful Features Camera Recording Attaching the Supplied Tripod Adapter Attach the supplied tripod adapter when using a tripod with the camcorder. Attaching the Supplied Grip Handle Attach the supplied grip handle when you want to steady the camcorder with your right hand during recording. 1 Align the tripod adapter with the tripod adapter socket on the bottom of the camcorder, then rotate as shown below. Caution: · Do not pick up the camcorder by the grip handle, as this may damage the equipment. Note: · You cannot use the supplied tripod adapter, if the alignment pin is not retractable. 41 Useful Features Playback Using the Remote Control (Only supplied with VL-NZ10) Available modes: All modes Operating the Remote Control Aim the remote control at the remote sensor of the camcorder, and press the control buttons to operate. Use the remote control to operate the camcorder from a distance, such as when you want to record yourself in a scene, or when the camcorder is connected to a TV for use as a VCR. REMOT E ON 5 Press the MENU button to turn off the menu screen. 42 Useful Features Playback Tape Playback Functions with the Remote Control (Only supplied with VL-NZ10) Available mode: TAPE-VCR Frame Advance The frame advance function allows you to play back still images frame by frame. 1 During playback in TAPE-VCR mode, press the PAUSE/STILL button (g) to pause playback. Press the h (or j) button. · Each time you press the button, the picture advances one frame forward (or backward). You can use the following playback functions with the remote control. · When a card is loaded, the multi-frame picture is recorded on the card (see page 48). Operation button Useful Features The multiple strobe playback function can be used to capture the action of a fast-moving subject at intervals of 1/8 of a second using a 9- or 16-frame picture. This is useful when you want to check your form in sports such as tennis or golf. 1 2 3 4 Remove the card from the camcorder. In TAPE-VCR mode, press the MENU button until the menu screen appears.
