To ensure safe operation, the three-pin plug supplied must be inserted only into a standard threepin power point which is effectively earthed through the normal household wiring. SPEAKER A, B SELECTOR BUTTONS/INDICATORS These buttons allow you to select various combinations of speakers as follows: To drive A speakers, press only the SPEAKER A button ("A" indicator lights up). To drive B speakers, press only the SPEAKER B button ("B" indicator lights up). To drive both A and B speakers, press the SPEAKER A and B buttons. ("A" and "B" indicators light up). When using headphones for private listening, press these buttons to switch off the speaker A and B ("A" and "B" indicators go off). DIMMER BUTTON Press this button to select the brightness of the fluorescent displays as desired. When pressing the TREBLE UP/DOWN(/) or BASS UP/DOWN(/) buttons, the tone level can be adjusted within the range of -10 ~ +10. Notes: Extreme settings at high volume may damage your speakers. In general, the bass and treble levels are adjusted to 0. Adjusting the modes as desired You can adjust the speaker, the tone and the balance modes as desired. 1. Select the desired mode. Each time this button is pressed, the mode is displayed for several seconds and changes as follows : SPEAKER (TONE : ONBASSTREBLE) or BALANCE ( TONE : OFF) 2. Adjust the selected mode as desired. Each time the SELECT konb is rotated, you can adjust the selected mode as follows. Note : The mode display disappears, perform the above step 1 again. 13 Continued When adjusting the SPEAKER mode. A B A + B OFF You can switch on or off the desired speakers. When adjusting the TONE mode. OFF : To listen to a program source without the tone effect. ON : To listen with the tone effect you adjusted. When adjusting the tone (TREBLE and BASS) You can adjust the tone level within the range of -10 ~ +10. Notes : Only when the TONE mode is adjusted to ON, you can adjust the TREBLE and the BASS. Extreme settings at high volume may damage your speakers.
