Congratulations! [. . . ] ½ Clean as necessary with soft tissue. ½ Never use brushes or toothpick for cleaning. ½ Never use running water or immerse the hearing instrument.
Cleaning
Cerumen on the C-Guard membrane might affect the sound quality. In case wax has built-up, it can be easily removed with a soft tissue.

Cleaning Instruction ½ Clean the C-Guard using a soft tissue. ½ Place a tissue around your finger and use a gentle back-and-forth cleaning motion.
Precaution: ½ Never use pressure or rotating action while cleaning!
Inspection
After cleaning, hold the C-Guard to a light if light doesn't reflect off of the C-Guard, then a replacement is necessary. A replacement is also necessary, if the sound quality hasn't improved after cleaning.
