Place your hearing instrument behind your ear and turn it on by completely closing the battery compartment. To remove your hearing instrument hold the receiver unit between your thumb and index finger and carefully pull it out. If swallowed consult a physician or a hospital immediately. Note: Do not throw used batteries into household trash. Return them to your Hearing Care Professional for environmentally correct disposal. 13 8 Using the domes Your dome includes an integrated C-Guard wax protection system. Cleaning Cerumen (ear wax) on the dome or C-Guard may affect sound quality. If wax has built up, it can be removed easily with a soft tissue. No other tools are required. Note: Never use brushes or sharp objects for cleaning or they may damage the dome or C-Guard. Never use running water or immerse the hearing instrument. Never use pressure or rotating action while cleaning. The dome cleans best right after taking the hearing instrument off. This way Cerumen can not dry and harden. For best results, it is recommended that you change your dome including C-Guard approximately every three months, or as needed. 14 Replacement of the dome Holding the receiver unit in one hand, grasp the dome between the thumb and index finger of your other hand. Leave the dome in the box and press the tip of the receiver unit into the new dome as shown in the picture. The mark on the receiver unit helps you to position it correctly. The dome is in the correct position when it is flush with the mark. If the dome is not mounted correctly the sound quality will be affected. Check and readjust the dome in this case. Caution: Do not place the receiver into your ear without the dome. If the dome gets detached in your ear, consult your Hearing Care Professional, a physician, or hospital. 15 9 Using the clip-on cover The clip-on cover is a barrier that protects your microphones from sweat, humidity and moisture. Change the clip-on cover when the sound is diminished or the clip-on cover is soiled.
