Creating a new message
1. To bring up the message editing screen, go to Messages > SMS > New.
For information on entering text using the available input methods, see page 52, "Input Modes".
2. To insert text templates, images and melodies, or to attach a phone book contact's data (vCard) or a Calendar memo (vCalendar) to the message, press Insert.

Managing the Inbox
Your phone saves received messages in the Inbox. To manage received messages, go to Messages > SMS > Inbox. To view a message, scroll to it and press . Press (Option) and select your desired function to manage the message.

Managing the Outbox
Go to Messages > SMS > Outbox. The Outbox preserves a backup copy of messages that you failed to send.

Go to Messages > SMS > Sent. The Sent folder preserves successfully delivered messages.
Managing Drafts
Go to Messages > SMS > Drafts. The Drafts folder contains message drafts that you chose to save.
Managing the Private Folder
Go to Messages > SMS > Private Folder. The phone code is required to access the Private Folder.
The default phone code is 1234. To change the phone code choose the menu Settings > Security > Phone Lock.
