q Press and hold down the start/stop" button (4 seconds) until the start/stop" illuminated ring flashes. i When Pause" is displayed, the childproof lock / appliance lock is temporarily deactivated. i Childproof lock / appliance lock is re activated by pressing the start/stop" button again.
Permanently deactivate childproof lock / appliance lock (no programme active)
q Press the start/stop" button for approx. The start/stop" illuminated ring flashes. q Press the - Childproof lock" button. The childproof lock / appliance lock is permanently deactivated. i If the childproof lock / appliance lock is permanently deactivated, the $" symbol on the display panel goes out.

q Press and hold down the start/stop" button (4 seconds) until the start/stop" illuminated ring flashes. q Press the Extras" button or the button with the Extras" symbol(s). q Deactivate the childproof lock/ appliance lock permanently, see Page 32. q Cancel the programme as described.
Topping up or removing washing
Additional laundry can be placed in the drum during the wash cycle or taken out of the drum before the end of the wash cycle. The start/stop" illuminated ring flas hes. i If Pause" Top up not possible" are indicated in succession on the dis play panel, the washing machine door cannot be opened for reasons of safe ty. If Top up possible" is indicated on the display panel: q Open the washing machine door. The start/stop" illuminated ring lights up. The programme starts.

The start/stop" illuminated ring goes out. Remove washing" is indicated on the dis play panel.
Programme summary
You can display a programme summary of the last wash cycle: i Before opening the door, select the wash report!q Press the Programme summary" button. The programme summary contains the following information: - Selected programme, washing tempe rature and selected additional options. - Rinse sensor (not for Rinse", Spin" and Drain" programmes). [. . . ] The mains cable may be changed (if re quired) by an electrician only. A replacement mains cable can be obtai ned from customer service.
