If the water is boiling the appliance switches off automatically. The On/Off switch automatically moves to the "O" position, the indicator lamp turns off. If you want to stop or interrupt the boiling process, keep the On/Off switch on the "O" position. However, you can continue the boiling process by waiting for 20 seconds until the heating element has cooled off. You can then switch on the appliance once again. During the cooling phase, do not press the on/off switch , as this can damage the appliance. While the appliance is not in use, unplug the power cord from the socket, so as to prevent the appliance from an inadvertent start. Note: The appliance has a safety device. This switches off the heating element, if the appliance is switched on when empty or is cooking dry. In such a condition, allow the appliance to cool off completely, before pouring in water again. For safety reasons and to avoid injuries do not open the lid when the water is boiling or very hot. Operation 1. Pull the power cord out only as much as is necessary. Pull it out by opening the base station and connect the plugs with an appropriate power socket. Open the lid and fill in with the desired quantity of water.
