[. . . ] It is also equipped with a high capacity hose/regulator assembly for connection to a standard 20 lb. cylinder (18-1/4" high, 12-1/4" diameter). Make sure tank valve is in its full "OFF" position (turn clockwise to stop). Check tank valve to ensure it has proper external male threads (type 1 connection per ANSI Z21. 81). Make sure all burner valves are in the "OFF" position. Inspect valve connections, port and regulator assembly. Never attempt to use damaged or obstructed equipment. When connecting regulator assembly to the valve, hand tighten the nut clockwise to a complete stop. Use of a wrench may damage the quick coupling nut and result in a hazardous condition. Open the tank valve fully (counterclockwise). Wash off soapy solution with cold water and towel dry. Turn the control knobs to the "OFF" position when not in use. Fig. 9 20 Lighting the Grill MATCH LIGHTING 1. If the burner will not light after several attempts then the burner can be match lit. If you have already attempted to light the burner with the igniter, allow 5 minutes for any accumulated gas to dissipate. Keep your face and hands as far away from the grill as possible. Insert a lit extended match or lighter through the cooking grids to the burner. Press the control knob and rotate left to the "HIGH" setting, and continue to press the knob until the burner ignites. Burner should light immediately; quickly remove your hand to avoid getting burned. If the burner does not light in 4 seconds, turn the knob off, wait 5 minutes and try again. 21 Using the Grill GRILL LOCATION Do not use the grill in garages, breezeways, sheds or any enclosed area or under overhead combustible construction. Never operate the grill in enclosed areas as this could lead to a carbon monoxide buildup, which could result in injury or death. Avoid moving the grill while it is operation.
