[. . . ] 7. 4. 2 Manual ignition In the event of a power failure, the oven can be ignited manually. Open the oven door fully, press and turn the thermostat knob anticlockwise to between MIN and MAX; light a long match and put the flame through the centre front slots on the bottom of the oven (as indicated in the figure). Alternatively use an electric gas lighter with a long spout. After lighting, keep the knob pressed down for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. If the burner does not ignite after 15 seconds, stop attempting to light it, leave the oven door open and do not try to light it again for at least 1 minute. If the burner is extinguished accidentally, turn the knob to the off position (0) and wait at least one minute before trying to light it again. 57 Instructions for the user 7. 5 Using the gas grill (on some models only) 7. 5. 1 Electronic spark ignition Open the oven door fully, press the thermostat knob and turn it clockwise to ; the electric spark ignition is activated automatically. When the oven is lit, keep the knob pressed down for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. If the burner does not ignite after 15 seconds, stop attempting to light it, open the oven door completely and do not try to light it again for at least 1 minute. The rotisserie motor turns on automatically when the grill is on. For information on using the rotisserie, see paragraph "5. 2 Using the rotisserie rod (on some models only)". WARNING: If there is a power supply failure the cooling system does not work. Therefore you are advised not to use the oven in these circumstances. The bottom burner and the gas grill must never be used at the same time. · · · · Grilling processes must never last more than 30 minutes Keep the oven door closed during cooking. Accessible parts may be very hot during and after use of the grill; keep children well away from the appliance. During rotisserie cooking operations, one of the trays supplied with the cooker should be placed on the bottom of the oven, on the first bottom runner, to collect any grease and fat produced. When using the oven, remove all unused trays and racks from its interior. During cooking, do not cover the bottom of the oven with aluminium or tin foil and do not place pans or oven trays on it as this may damage the enamel coating. If you wish to use greaseproof paper, place it so that it will not interfere with the hot air circulation inside the oven. · · 58 Instructions for the user 7. 6 Using the electric grill (on some models only) To activate the grill, simply press and turn the oven thermostat knob clockwise to position / . The bottom burner and the electric grill must never be used at the same time. · · · · Grilling processes must never last more than 60 minutes. Keep the oven door closed during cooking. Accessible parts may be very hot during and after use of the grill; keep children well away from the appliance. During rotisserie cooking operations, one of the trays supplied with the cooker should be placed on the bottom of the oven, on the first bottom runner, to collect any grease and fat produced. [. . . ] If a fixed connection is being used, fit the power line with an omnipolar circuitbreaker in accordance with the installation rules, located in a position which is easy to reach and near the appliance. If a plug and socket connection is being used, make sure that the plug and socket are compatible. Avoid use of adapters and shunts as these could cause overheating and risk of burns. Operation at 220-240 V~: use a H05V2V2-F type three-core cable (3 x 1. 5 mm2). The end to be connected to the appliance must have an earth wire (yellow-green) at least 20 mm longer than the others.
