[. . . ] During operation, do not touch the plate and make sure that the cord or other objects do not come into contact with the plate. When handling the jar, use only the handle. â· Make sure that there is water in the tank, before connecting the coffee maker. : When you wish to dispose of the appliance, NEVER throw it in the rubbish. Instead, go your nearest CLEAN POINT or waste collection point, where it will receive subsequent treatment. You will thus be helping to take care of the environment. Completely remove all the transport and packaging items inside or outside the appliance. Fill the water tank when the coffee maker has cooled (a minimum of 4 minutes after the last use). Otherwise, you may suffer burns from the sudden spray of boiling water. After this time, some parts of the coffee maker are still hot. Take care to avoid the steam and do not open the lid while the appliance is on. This can cause injuries from steam and hot water splashes. Before making coffee for the first time, use the coffee maker twice with water only to clean the system. 1 Lift the lid (5) and pour water into the tank (4). The amount of water will depend on the number of coffee cups you want to make. However, always take care to observe the MIN (3 cups) and MAX (15 cups) marks. If the tank is filled over the MAX mark, the excess water will overflow out the back of the appliance. 3 Place the permanent filter (6) into the filter-holder (7) or, if you prefer, use a paper filter and pour the coffee into the filter. The dispensing spoon (10) can be used to pour the coffee: each spoonful holds approximately the amount of coffee needed for one cup. At times, coffee may spill out of the filter.
