Setting up WAP and E-mail
GPRS and GSM Data Settings If you have selected GPRS as the access type, the Preferred service should be set to GPRS&GSM. An icon may then appear in the display telling you that GPRS is within range. If you have selected GSM data as the access type, you should select GSM only as the preferred mode. This setting is valid for all data accounts. Scroll to Settings, Y E S , Data comm. , Y E S , Pref. Contact your network operator or service provider (a distributor of WAP pages) before you start changing the settings yourself.

To select a WAP profile 1. Scroll to WAP services, Y E S , Select profile, Y E S . Select a WAP profile and press Y E S .

To enter SMS settings 1. Enter the phone number of your network operator's service centre. Enter the phone number of your network operator's SMS gateway. Enter your password for the WAP gateway. Select On if you want a secure connection, or Off if you do not want a secure connection. Select On if you want to view images while browsing, or Off if you do not want to view images while browsing. Enter a time limit in seconds after which a download attempt will stop. Before you start using the WAP browser, you must select which of your WAP profiles you want to use when browsing.
