Use only AA or AAA size Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.  â· Never charge other types of batteries,  such as Alkaline or Carbon Zinc as this may cause them to become hot,  leak or rupture,  causing personal injury or property damage.  â· The charger and batteries may become hot when charging. Never expose the charger to rain or snow.  â· The charger should be disconnected from the mains when the charging process is complete or when the charger is not in use.  â· Do not drop,  place heavy weight on,  or allow strong impact to the charger.  [. . . ] If the batteries are stored without use,  either partially charged or fully discharged for a long period of time,  they may require several cycles of charging and discharging in order to attain their original charge capacity.
