The date and time are held in memory by the lithium battery. If you replace the lithium battery with the battery pack or other power source connected, you need not reset the date and time. You must reset the date and time when the lithium battery becomes dead with no power source installed. First, set the year, then the month, the day, the hour and then the minute.
