To use the player on batteries, disconnect the AC power cord from the player. You can adjust the audio emphasis of the sound you are listening to. Turn ROTARY EQUALIZER/MEGA BASS to select the audio emphasis you want. Frequency coverage Turn the control clockwise (to +10) Turn the control counterclockwise (to -10) to decrease heavy bass sounds to provide less presence of vocals to decrease the brightness of the sound or to reduce tape hiss MEGA BASS to increase heavy 100Hz bass sounds 1kHz to provide more presence of vocals to increase the brightness of the sound or to reduce tape hiss To return to normal sound, press the button again.
