[. . . ] Press BAND until the band you want appears in the display. Hold down the number buttons that you want to preset the new station for about 2 seconds. Once you've preset the stations, use the number buttons to tune in your favorite stations. Tip You can tune in a preset station with the player. Use PRESET +/­ instead of the number buttons. Before you set the clock, insert four R6 (size AA) batteries and connect the AC power cord (see pages 23 and 24. Press CLOCK/TIMER for about 2 seconds until the hour digit flashes. Then, turn the power on and follow the steps on this page to set the sleep timer. When you are listening to the radio, make sure to tune in the station you want to wake up to. The player shuts off automatically after about 60 minutes. To cancel the sleep function Press SLEEP again to turn off the power. You can use the AC power or batteries as a power source. These batteries work to save the memory data. Tip Only for the customers supplied with an AC plug adaptor: Use the supplied AC plug adaptor if the plug of the AC power cord does not match your outlet. Insert one end of the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN socket located at the rear of the player, and the other end to the wall outlet. Adjusting the voltage (only for the models equipped with the VOLTAGE SELECTOR) Be sure to set the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (at the bottom) to your local power supply. Changing the AM tuning interval (only for the models equipped with the AM TUNING INTERVAL selector at the bottom) If you need to change the AM tuning interval (preset to 9 kHz at the factory), do the following: 1 2 3 Disconnect the power cord and remove all the batteries.
