Also, depending on the particular drivedisc combination, some CD-R and CD-RW discs may not be readable in some drives due to variations in disc quality and drive characteristics from one manufacturer to another. Cause/Remedy t The power connector or interface cable may not be properly connected. T If the disc cannot be ejected despite the above, push a thin tool into the Emergency Eject Hole. Audio is heard to skip or data cannot be read from a disc. Cause/Remedy t If the writing speed is set very low, change to a higher speed. Depending on the disc media being used, faster writing speeds may work best. Changing the writing speed is done by the writing software. [. . . ] For heavy dirt, moisten a soft cloth with water and wring it out before wiping, then remove the moisture with a dry cloth. Do not use benzene, vinyl record cleaner or antistatic solutions which could cause scratches on the disc. A warranty card should be provided with this product at the place of purchase.
