To change a character Press TCURSOR or CURSORt repeatedly until the character to be changed flashes, press CLEAR to erase the character, then repeat steps 3 and 4. Copying a disc or track title You can copy a labeled disc or track title to use it as a title of another track or the disc title within a disc. 2 Press ­ or + repeatedly until "Name?" appears, then press ENTER/YES. To erase all the titles, press ­ or + repeatedly until "Nm All Ers?" appears, then press ENTER/YES twice after performing 1 and 2. Erasing a single track (Track Erase Function) You can erase a track simply by selecting its track number. When you erase a track, the total number of tracks on the MD decreases by one and all the tracks following the erased one are renumbered. Eg. : Erasing track 2. To return to the condition before labeling or erasing You can return to the original condition immediately after labeling or erasing a title (see page 48). Erasing all tracks (All Erase Function) You can erase the disc title, all recorded tracks and their titles at once. 2 3 1 3, 4 3 The MD Deck -- Editing 5 Press ENTER/YES. "Complete!" appears for a few seconds and the selected track and title are erased. 1 2 3 Press FUNCTION repeatedly to switch the function to MD. Press MENU/NO to display "Edit Menu". Press ­ or + repeatedly until "All Erase?" appears, then press ENTER/ YES. "All Erase??" appears. To cancel erasing Press MENU/NO. Note "Erase???" appears when the track was recorded or edited on another deck and is protected. To erase the track, press ENTER/YES while "Erase???" appears. 4 Press ENTER/YES again. "Complete!" appears for a few seconds and the disc title, all recorded tracks and their titles are erased.
