Chapter 4: Using SONY Instant Share
This camera has an exciting feature called SONY Instant Share. This feature allows you to easily select images in your camera to be automatically sent to a variety of destinations the next time you connect the camera to your computer. This activates the Camera Share Menu Setup Wizard on your computer. 5 In the first window of the Wizard that appears on your computer, click on either Retrieve from Camera on a Windows computer, or Next on a Macintosh computer. 6 In the screen called Modify Share Menu: · On Windows, check to see that SONY Instant Share E-mail is visible above the Add. . . If this is the first time you are adding destinations to the Share menu, you will be asked to sign in to the SONY Passport program. SONY Passport allows you to create a secure account for the images you share using SONY Instant Share services. The first time you see this screen, you will need to register as a new user. Follow the instructions on the screen to register. · On Macintosh, click on the Add. . . button, add the e-mail addresses or websites that you want, and then skip to step 7.

7 Once you are successfully registered, sign in to SONY Passport, and then the SONY Instant Share E-mail Setup screen will appear. Here you can either enter individual e-mail addresses or create group distribution lists, and specify how you want them to appear in the camera's Share menu. You can also enter a subject and a text message to go with all e-mails that will be sent to each e-mail address or distribution list. [. . . ] The NTSC format is used primarily in North America and Japan, while the PAL format is used primarily in Europe. This setting is made for you when you set the language of the camera. To check the current setting or change the video signal format, go to the TV Configuration setting in the Setup menu (page 89) 3 Your camera will be the source for the TV signal (just like a VCR or camcorder), so you must set the TV to take video input from an external video source (your camera) instead of the antenna or TV cable.
