Setting the language and playback restriction (Preference)
Choose settings according to the TV to be connected.

Press DVD SETUP on the remote when the Unit is in stop mode. Press G/g to select (Preference, ) then press ENTER or f on the remote. The options for "Preference" appear.

Chapter 4 Playing Discs (DVP-NW50 only)
Select this when you connect a 4:3 screen TV. Automatically displays a wide picture on the entire screen and cuts off the portions that do not fit. Normal/LB (4:3 LETTER BOX)
Select this when you connect a 4:3 screen TV. Displays a wide picture with bands on the upper and lower portions of the screen. 16:9 Wide

Angle Mark (page 26)
When you select "ON, " and various angles (multi-angles) for a scene are recorded on the DVD VIDEO, an angle mark is displayed on the TV screen. The default setting is "ON. "
OSD Lang (On-Screen Display Language)

Audio (page 26)
Switches the language of the sound track.
Subtitle (page 26)
Switches the display language on the screen.
Captions
Switches the language of the subtitle.
Disc Menu
The hidden subtitle is displayed or turn off. The default setting is "ON. "
Screen Saver
Select the desired language for the disc menu.
Parental (page 27)
The screen saver image appears when you leave the Unit in pause or stop mode for five minutes. The screen saver will help prevent your display device from becoming damaged (ghosting). Press any button to turn off the screen saver. The default setting is underlined.
ON OFF Turns on the screen saver. Turns off the screen saver.
Playback of some DVD VIDEOs can be limited according to a predetermined level, such as the age of the users.

If you select "OTHERS" in "Audio, " "Subtitle, " or "Disc Menu, " select and enter a language code from the language code list (page 55) using the numeric buttons.
