Cleaning
Unplug the set from the wall outlet before cleaning or polishing it. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. [. . . ] The sound may deteriorate when you dub audio on a tape recorded on other camcorders (including other DCR-HC28 camcorders).
To check the recorded sound

Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
If you run into any problems using your camcorder, use the following table to troubleshoot the problem. If the problem persists, disconnect the power source and contact your Sony dealer.
Overall operations/Easy Handycam
The power does not turn on.
· Attach a charged battery pack to the camcorder (p. · Use the AC Adaptor to connect to a wall outlet (p. 12).
The camcorder does not operate even when the power is set to on.
· Disconnect the AC Adaptor from the wall outlet or remove the battery pack, then reconnect it after about 1 minute. (If you press the RESET button, all settings are reset. )
Buttons do not work.
· During Easy Handycam operation, not all buttons are functional (p. 23).
Settings change during Easy Handycam operation.
