How to Reduce the Risk of "Image Retention" on the Screen Please take the following steps to reduce the risk of causing image retention: · When using video games, computers, and similar products with your projection TV, or viewing a TV station whose logo always stays on the screen, keep the Brightness and Picture functions at low settings. (See page 62 for instructions on adjusting Brightness and Picture settings. ) · View a variety of programming material. If you have video equipment other than Sony brand that you want to control with the TV's remote control, use the following procedure to program the remote control. SETUP The equipment must have infrared (IR) remote capability in order to be used with the remote control. 1 Turn to the list of "Manufacturer's Codes" on page 47, and find the three-digit code number for the manufacturer of your equipment. (If more than one code number is listed, try the number listed first. ) SETUP 2 While holding down DVD/VCR FUNCTION or SAT/CABLE FUNCTION, press Remote Control RESET. (The DVD/VCR FUNCTION and SAT/CABLE FUNCTION buttons will flash. ) 3 Press either DVD/VCR FUNCTION or SAT/CABLE FUNCTION, depending on which button you want to program. 4 Enter the three-digit manufacturer's code number. 5 Press ENT. You must do step 5 within 10 seconds of step 4, or you must redo steps 3 through 5. 6 To check if the code number works, aim the TV's remote control SETUP at the equipment and press the POWER button that corresponds with that equipment.
