Programming the Remote Control
The remote control is preset to operate Sony brand video equipment.

If you have video equipment other than Sony brand that you want to control with the TV's remote control, use the following procedure to program the remote control.
Setup
The equipment must have infrared (IR) remote capability in order to be used
with the remote control.

1 Turn to the list of "Manufacturer's Codes" on page 44, and find

If more than one code number is listed, try entering them one by one until you come to the correct code for your equipment. If you enter a new code number, the code number you previously entered at that setting is erased. In some cases, you may not be able to operate your equipment with the supplied remote control. In such cases, use the equipment's own remote control unit. Whenever you remove the batteries to replace them, the code numbers may revert to the factory setting and must be reset.

2 Set the A/V slide switch to 1, 2, 3, or DVD. 4 Press the FUNCTION button for the type of equipment you want to
control with the TV's remote control (VCR/DVD FUNCTION or SAT/CABLE
FUNCTION).

5 Enter the three-digit manufacturer's code number. 6 Press ENTER.
You must do step 6 within 10 seconds of step 5, or you must redo
steps 3 through 6.
7 To check if the code number works, aim the TV's remote control
at the equipment and press the POWER button that corresponds with that equipment. If not, try using another code listed for that manufacturer.

Activate the remote control to operate the TV Turn on/off the TV Tune directly to a channel
Press TV FUNCTION Press TV POWER Press 0-9 and then ENTER (or wait 3 seconds) or Press CH+/Press VOL +/Press MUTING (press again to unmute) Press JUMP The TV alternates between the current channel and the last channel tuned.
Adjust the volume Mute the volume Alternate back and forth between two channels
Display the current channel Press DISPLAY once to display the channel number (and other information) number and current time and channel label (if set). Press DISPLAY again to turn Display off. Switch the TV's input to the VCR, DVD player, or other connected equipment Press TV/VIDEO repeatedly to cycle through the video equipment connected to the TV's video inputs.

Using Twin View
Twin View lets you see two pictures from two sources -- from an antenna, VCR, DVD, etc. , -- on the screen at the same time. You hear the sound from only one of the sources at a time, but you can choose which source's sound is selected.
