To execute the cut overwriting, press the EXECUTE/REC key. · This overwrites the cut, and "EDITED" appears on the monitor screen. · The recorder file is replaced by the editing result file (the file after overwriting the cut), and the unit cues up to the OUT point of the inserted section. 7 Chapter 3 Operations for Linear/Nonlinear Editing 3-31 (E) 3-2 Operations for Nonlinear Editing (Operations in Cut Units) Notes · Editing can be performed without specifying an OUT point with the MARK OUT key on the MAVE-F555. Press the EXECUTE/REC key and when the desired OUT point appears press the ALL STOP key on the MAVE-D555. The stop point is specified as the OUT point. · After executing the cut overwriting, as the recorder file is replaced by the editing result file, the monitor screen goes temporarily blank. · When you select only specific channels for overwriting with the cut in step 6 above, then the result is as shown in the following figure. Select the recorder port. Use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog dial to search for the IN point. Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK IN key. This specifies the IN point of the source cut to be used for overwriting. The same as the IN point, use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog dial to search for the OUT point. Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK OUT key. This specifies the OUT point of the source cut to be used for overwriting. Now continue from step 5 of the procedure under "Overwriting a specified section on the recorder with a cut from the player" (page 3-30).
