See "Inserting and Ejecting CDs or DVDs" for information on how to open the optical drive to access the lens. See the manual that comes with your optical drive for more information on its installation and use. To disconnect a PC Card drive 1 2 3 4 5 6 Close any active programs to prevent data loss. Double-click the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon Unplug or Eject Hardware window appears. The Select the PC Card drive in the Hardware devices window, if it is not already selected. The Stop a Hardware device window appears. Make sure the PC Card drive is selected, and click OK. A message appears stating it is now safe to remove the hardware device. Make sure any necessary driver software is installed. 108 Using PC Cards Why doesn't my computer recognize attached devices?For some PC Cards, if you alternate between normal power operation and the Standby or Hibernate modes while the card is inserted into the PC Card slot, the computer may not recognize the PC Card or the connected device. Why can't I insert my PC Card? Make sure you are inserting the card correctly. See "Inserting PC Cards" for more information. You may not be able to use some PC Cards or some functions of the PC Card with this computer. Check the manual that came with your PC Card for more information on its use.
