Close all open applications. End your Internet session, if applicable. Leave the Windows® operating system running. Your installed LucentTM Win Modem does not support the Wake On Ring (WOR) feature of the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system. For optimal use, Sony recommends that you do not change the preset modem settings in the Power Management Properties window. The Performance and Maintenance dialog box appears. 2 Click the Power Options Control Panel icon. The Power Options Properties dialog box appears. Choose an option from the Power schemes drop-down list. To save the settings under a name that is not offered in the Power schemes dropdown menu, choose your settings and then click Save As. 4 Click Apply and then click OK. Computer is turned off or in Hibernate mode. 22 To Use the System Hibernate Mode To Use the System Hibernate Mode System hibernate mode enables your computer to store everything in its memory to the hard disk drive before shutting down. When you bring the system out of hibernation mode, it returns to the previous state.
