Start playing a source encoded with multi channel surround effects (DVD, etc. ). Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select " EQUALIZER ". Turn MENU to select the parameter you want to adjust.

While monitoring the sound, turn /+ to select the setting you want.
The setting is entered automatically.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to adjust the other items.
Note
You cannot adjust the equalizer when the receiver is decoding signals with a sampling frequency of more than 48 kHz, or when DTS 96/24, DTS-ES Matrix or DTS Neo:6 decoding is applied.

x EQUALIZER XXX (Equalizer on/off)
Initial setting: OFF Select "ON" to activate the equalizer.
x BASS XXX. X dB (Front speaker bass level) x TREBLE XXX. X dB (Front speaker treble level)
Initial setting: 0 dB You can adjust from 10 dB to +10 dB in 0. 5 dB steps.

Using the CUSTOMIZE menu to adjust the receiver
You can adjust various receiver settings using the CUSTOMIZE menu.
x SB DEC XXXX (Surround back decoding mode)
You can also use "SB DEC XXXX" to set the surround back decoding mode (page 33). For details on each decoding mode, see page 34. · OFF · AUTO · ON

Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select " CUSTOMIZE ". Turn MENU to select the parameter you want to adjust.
This parameter is valid only when A. F. D. mode is selected except for Dolby Pro Logic IIx mode (page 30).

x SF LINK XXX (Sound field link)
· ON Let you apply the last selected sound field to an input whenever it is selected. For example, if you select HALL for the SA-CD/CD input, then change to a different input and return to SA-CD/CD, HALL will automatically be applied again. · OFF Sound field link is not activated.

Initial setting: 4 Lets you adjust the position of the on-screen display horizontally. You can adjust from 0 to 64.
x OSD V. POSI XX (OSD vertical position)
Initial setting: 4 Lets you adjust the position of the on-screen display vertically. You can adjust from 0 to 32.
x COMPO V. ASSIGN (Component video input assignment)
Lets you assign the component video input to another visual input. For details, see "Assigning the component video input" on page 36.

x DISTANCE UNIT (Distance unit)
Lets you select the unit of measure for setting distances. · feet The distance is displayed in feet. · meter The distance is displayed in meters.
x DIGITAL ASSIGN (Digital audio input assignment)
Lets you assign the digital audio input to other input. [. . . ] · Remove any obstacles in the path between the remote and the receiver. · Replace all the batteries in the remote with new ones, if they are weak. · Check if the command modes of the receiver and the remote is the same.
