Upgrading Your VAIO Computer
Your computer and memory modules use high precision components and electronic connectors technology. To avoid the invalidation of your guarantee due to mishandling, we recommend that: You contact your dealer to install a new memory module. You do not install it yourself, if you are not familiar with upgrading memory on a computer. You do not touch the connectors or open the memory panel. For the type of module and amount of memory installed on your model, refer to the online Specifications. If such a station is not available, do not work in a carpeted area, and do not handle materials that produce or hold static electricity (cellophane wrappers, for example). Ground yourself by maintaining contact with an unpainted metal portion of the chassis while performing the procedure. Do not open the memory module package until you are ready to change the module. The package protects the module from ESD.
