Through the use of the function keys, you can change operational features instantly. To use this function, press and hold Fn a ; then press one of the function keys b .

The following describes the features of each function key. Fn + Esc: Fn + F1: Fn + F2: Fn + F3: Fn + F4: Fn + F5: Fn + F6: Fn + F8 (G470/G475): Fn + F9: Fn + F10: Fn + F11: Fn + F12: Turn on/off the integrated camera. Turn on/off the backlight of the LCD screen. Open the interface for the display device switch to select this notebook or an external display. Open the interface for display resolution settings. Open the interface for integrated wireless devices settings (on/off). Start/Pause playback of Windows Media Player. However, when the computer is using battery power you are advised to switch to the power-saving GPU if you are not running graphics-intensive applications.
To change the GPU, do the following:
1 Start your computer to the Windows 7 operating system.
Note: Under Windows XP or Windows Vista, none of the configurations support the Switchable Graphics, and they only work in the integrated GPU mode.
2 If the computer is in sleep or hibernation mode, press the power button to wake it up. 3 Activate the Switchable Graphics dialog box. To activate the dialog box, you can right-click on the desktop and select Configure ATI PowerXpress (TM) from the pop-up menu. 4 On the Switchable Graphics dialog box, you can see the currentlyactivated GPU under Current active Graphics Processing Unit. Click the button for another GPU under Choose a Graphics Processing Unit.
Note: For models on different platforms, there is a slight difference in GPU switch. Please refer to the actual product for details.
