If you want to expand the functionality of your computer, you can increase the memory by installing optional memory modules. Before you upgrade your computer's memory, read the notes and procedures in the following pages. The number of available slots depends on the configuration of your model.
Notes on adding/removing memory modules
Be careful when changing memory. Improper installation of memory modules may cause damage to your system. This damage may void your manufacturer's warranty. Only use memory modules that are compatible with the computer. If a memory module is not detected by the computer or Windows becomes unstable, contact your sales dealer or the manufacturer of your memory module. Double-click the System Information folder. Double-click the System Information icon. You can view the amount of system memory. If the additional memory does not appear, repeat the whole procedure and restart the computer.

On Handling the LCD Screen
Do not leave the LCD facing the sun. Be careful when using the computer near a window. Do not scratch the LCD or exert pressure on it. Using the computer in low temperature conditions may produce a residual image on the screen. When the computer returns to normal temperature, the screen returns to normal.
