You will hear a short beep and "r" will appear for a few seconds. Insert the supplied rechargeable battery (NH14WM) into the charger with correct polarity. plug in the charger to the house current (mains). If the sound becomes distorted with the GRV effect, select MB or NORM. You cannot enter the menu mode during fast-forwarding or rewinding. â· You cannot operate the tape while you are in the menu mode. To Playback Play the other side Press OPR (beeps in the headphones) Once For more than a second during playback (Switching to side A: one short beep/ Switching to side B: two short beeps) Once (One short beep) Twice during playback (One short beep, then repeated sets of a short beep and a long beep) Slide the PUSH OPEN slide lock to release the cassette compartment cover. Make sure the HOLD function is turned off. Then adjust the volume with VOL on the remote control. If the earphones do not fit to your ears or the sound is unbalanced, turn round the earphones a little to fit to your ears firmly. Play the current Three times during playback track (AMS (One short beep, fucntion) then repeated sets of two short beeps and a long beep) Repeat the current track (Repeat Single Track function) Four times during playback (Repeated sets of a short beep, a long beep and a short beep when rewinding) If the sound becomes distorted when using bass emphasis and the AVLS function together, turn down the volume on the remote control. [. . . ] Play the current Three times during playback track (AMS (One short beep, fucntion) then repeated sets of two short beeps and a long beep) Repeat the current track (Repeat Single Track function) Four times during playback (Repeated sets of a short beep, a long beep and a short beep when rewinding) If the sound becomes distorted when using bass emphasis and the AVLS function together, turn down the volume on the remote control. When the tape is playing, the cassette holder is locked and you cannot slide the PUSH OPEN slide lock. Repeat the above so that "r" disappears on the playback mode to be adjusted. [. . . ]
