[. . . ] Features The XA-C40 is a selector for connecting several Sony BUS system compatible CD/MD changers to a car audio unit which is also compatible with the Sony BUS system. Three CD/MD changers can be connected per single XA-C40, and up to seven CD/MD changers can be connected with three XA-C40s. Installation Before installation ·Choose the installation location carefully so that the unit does not interfere with normal driving operations. ·Avoid installing the unit in areas subject to: -- high temperatures, such as from direct sunlight or hot air from the heater. ·Use only the supplied mounting hardware for a safe and secure installation. A loose connection may cause the unit to malfunction. Notes · If your car has an on-board computer or navigation system installed, disconnecting the car battery's negative terminal can erase their memories. In such a case, make sure that all the connection except the yellow power input cord are completed before connecting the yellow power input cord. · This unit is compatible with the CDX-65RF, CDX-71RF and RM-X59RF. But it is not compatible with the CDX-45RF, CDX-51RF or CDX-52RF hideaway units.
