Doing so may cause malfunction. MD RECORDING (cont) AUTO FIRST TRACKS RECORDING OF CDS pg. 20 Only the first track of the CDs on the tray are recorded continuously. You can keep recording continuously without interruption, if you press the DISC CHANGE button to replace the CDs during recording. 1 Insert a recordable MD into the disc drive with the label side up and in the direction of the arrow. 2 Press the CD button and load the CDs to be recorded. 3 Press the CD MD button twice to start recording. "CD MD single" is displayed and recording begins with the first track of the CD on tray 1. To replace CDs during recording, press the DISC CHANGE button and replace with other CDs. Then, press the DISC CHANGE button to close the disc compartment. When recording finishes, TOC EDIT is displayed and the data concerning the contents of the recording are registered. · The index mark is registered automatically at the beginning of the track. Display information during recording When DISP is pressed repeatedly during recording, the display changes as follows. * During "AUTO FIRST TRACKS RECORDING", the remaining time of CD is not displayed. PROGRAMMED RECORDING OF CDS Up to 30 tracks can be programmed and recorded from any of the inserted CDs. 1 Insert a recordable MD into the disc drive with the label side up and in the direction of the arrow. 3 Press PRGM on the remote control while pressing SHIFT. 4 Press the DISC DIRECT PLAY 1-3 to select a CD. Then, press the numbered buttons 0-9 and +10 button to program a track. 5 Repeat step 4 to program other tracks. 6 Press the CD MD button to start recording. When the programmed tracks finish playing, the recording stops automatically. [. . . ] The temperature of the unit is too high. The surrounding temperature is too high or too low. Emergency PB Disc The unit operates abnormally due to a scratched disc or strong shock. There is an attempt to record or edit a prerecorded music disc (optical disc). [. . . ]
