This manual should be considered a permanent part of the motorcycle and should remain with the motorcycle when resold or otherwise transferred to a new owner or operator. BREAK-IN (RUNNING-IN) INFORMATION FOR YOUR MOTORCYCLE The first 1600 km (1 OOP miles) are the most important in the life of your motorcycle. Proper break-in operation during this time will help ensure maximum life and performance from your new motorcycle. To assist you in the performance of periodic maintenance, a tool kit is supplied and located under the rear seat. NOTE: Do not confuse the grease-like residue on the steering damper's shaft with an oil leak. Collection of this residue is normal and is from oil seal lubricant used in the damper. You may also notice a sound as the damper shaft is stroked in and out. This "escaping air" type sound is normal and is made as the internal valving damps the shaft movement.

FAIRING REMOVAL
1. Place the motorcycle on the side stand.
LUBRICATION POINTS
Proper lubrication is important for smooth operation and long life of each working part of your motorcycle and also for safe riding. It is a good practice to lubricate the motorcycle after a long rough ride and after getting it wet it in the rain or after washing it. Major lubrication points are indicated below.

3. Remove the screws (right and left).
2. Remove the screws © (right and left) and fasteners (2) (right and left). Unhook the hooks (3) (right and left).
4. Remove the fasteners (right and left).
B . . . . Installation Reinstall the fairing in the reverse order of their removal. · Fairing parts must be reinstalled securely. After reinstallation, check that they are snug and properly positioned.

BATTERY
The battery is located under the front seat. Remove the front seat by referring to the SEAT LOCK AND HELMET HOLDERS section. [. . . ] Fill the fuel tank to the top with fuel mixed with the amount of gasoline stabilizer recommended by the stabilizer manufacturer. Run the engine for a few minutes until the stabilized gasoline fills the fuel injection system. Pour one tablespoon of motor oil into each spark plug hole. Reinstall the spark plugs and crank the engine a few times. [. . . ]
