Remove all of the various packaging, stickers or accessories from both the inside and outside of the kettle. - Hinged lid: press if necessary on the locking system and pull backwards. (fig 2) - Assisted opening lid: press on the locking system and the lid lifts automatically (fig 3) - Automatic opening lid: press the button at the top of the handle. (fig 4) - Lockable lid: turn the lid to the left to unlock it and lift it. (fig 5) To close the lid, press it down firmly or turn it to the right in the case of the lockable lid. Your kettle must only be used with the base that matches it and its own anti-scale filter. You can fill it through the spout, which ensures better maintenance of the filter. As a minimum, cover the element (or the bottom of the kettle) with water. â· Never fill the kettle when it is on its base. â· Do not fill it above the maximum level, or below the minimum level. If the kettle is too full, boiling water may spill out. â· Do not use without water. â· Check that the lid is closed properly before use. TEFAL reserves the right to modify the characteristics or components of its kettles at any time in the interests of the consumer. No attempt must be made to dismantle the kettle or its safety devices.
