Do not use them in any manner other than as specified in this manual. Please read this manual in its entirety before you begin the installation procedure. Use of controls, adjustments, or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure. [. . . ] The discs will remain blank after the test is complete. This function is recommended if you are using unsupported media. This function enables the target drive to adjust the laser to the proper intensity. The source drive, which is determined by the setting on the Duplicator controller, can be either the DVD-ROM drive or the hard disk drive. Copy The Copy function enables you to copy data from the source DVD or a partition on the internal hard disk drive. For more information, refer to "Basic Operation" on page 8. Compare The Compare function compares data on the source and target discs after the copy process is complete. Copy and Compare The Compare function follows immediately as soon as the Copy function is completed. Verify The Verify function verifies that the target disc was written completely and with no errors. TEAC 1x10 DVD Duplicator User's Manual 11 Erase Erase The Erase function erases the data from /RW media. The default setting performs a Quick Erase when you press the RUN button. You can also press and hold the RUN button for three (3) seconds to perform a Full Erase. The Full Erase requires more time than the Quick Erase. Load The factory-installed hard disk drive was partitioned and formatted at the factory. Each partition is approximately 9GB in size. The Load function enables you to transfer data from the DVD-ROM or DVD Writer drive to the current partition on the hard disk drive. If you are loading various sources to the hard disk drive, change the Partition Name to specify a new partition after the Load function is completed. This will prevent you from overwriting data that has already been loaded into the previous partition. 12 TEAC 1x10 DVD Duplicator User's Manual Setup Mode Functions Setup Mode Functions The Setup mode includes nine (9) functions. To enter the Setup mode, press and hold the SET button until you hear a beep. Press the SET button to scroll through the available functions. To exit the Setup mode, press and hold the SET button until you hear a beep. Automatic This function is for factory use only. Partition Name The Partition Name function enables you to setup the ID and partition number of the hard disk drive. The first two (2) digits are the ID number of the hard disk drive.
