Doing so could cause the sound to skip and damage the record and stylus. 4 Select the rotation speed indicated on the record. The rotation speed can be set to 33 1/3, 45 or 78 RPM. 7 Move the tone arm to the track where you want to start playback. When playback finishes When playback finishes, the tone arm automatically returns to the tone arm holder and the rotation stops. To manually interrupt playback, use the arm lifter lever to raise the tone arm and then return the tone arm to its resting position.
