Preparation for use
Before using your deep fryer for the first time
· For opening the lid, press up on the lid locking button. · The lid and the basket are removable, clean them in the dishwasher or with soap and water. Clean the bowl with a sponge and some washing up liquid.
Filling the bowl
· For best results we recommend blended vegetable oil. For sunflower oil, groundnut oil, or soya oil ensure the oil is changed after every 5 uses. · If you use solid vegetable fat: - Cut it into pieces and place it at the bottom of the bowl (never in the basket - remove the basket). - Never exceed 150° to melt it, then follow the manufacturer's cooking recommendations. · Lard or dripping should N O T be used under any circumstances and may cause overflowing, smoking or risk of fire. For traditional UK style deep fried foods, especially chips, we do not recommend using olive oil.

Do not mix different types of oils. The oil level must always be between the Min. Place the basket on the edge of the bowl with basket hanging clips. · Then serve.
Switching off the deep fryer
· When you have finished frying foods, set the on-off switch to the 0 position. Do not let the cord hang over the kitchen work surface. · Leave the deep fryer to cool down completely with lid closed (1 to 2 hours). · Wind the power cord around the body of the fryer. · Only use the carrying side handles to move the deep fryer.

Never move your deep fryer with hot oil inside. Never move the fryer with the lid open.

When cooking battered food and doughnuts, remove the wire basket to prevent food sticking to it. Take great care when handling the food and use tongs. Gradually place the food in the hot oil, submerging it an inch at a time to prevent it from sinking straight away.
